O average price of gasoline at gas stations in Brazil, it advanced for the eighth consecutive week and remains above the mark of 6 reais per liter, according to a survey published this Friday by the ANP, which also showed an increase in ethanol prices and a slight decline in diesel oil.
According to a survey by the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels, the average price of regular gasoline at the pumps reached 6.092 reais per liter this week, compared to 6.076 reais the week before.
The value of gasoline at gas stations has been increasing uninterruptedly since the first week of August, according to the regulatory agency.
The most consumed fuel in Brazil, diesel oil, had the average price quoted at 4.707 reais per liter, slightly below the 4.709 reais registered last week.
Ethanol, a direct competitor to gasoline at the pumps, was also high, reaching 4.715 reais per liter, versus 4.704 reais.
