In Chennai, 22 carat 10 gram gold is priced at Rs 44,700 while 24 carat 10 gram gold is priced at Rs 48,730. In Kolkata, 22 carat 10 gram gold is priced at Rs 46,790 while 24 carat 10 gram gold is priced at Rs 49,490. Market experts say the central budget’s proposal to reduce tariffs on gold and silver imports has had an impact on the pound.
