Prime Time Zone, Webdesk: Leading brokerage firm Proprietor said that by 2020 people will be more interested in buying completed residential property than buying plots under construction. The share of completed plots in total home sales last year rose to 21 per cent from the previous 18 per cent. A total of 1.82 lakh units were sold in the 2020 calendar year, of which 21 per cent were ready. The proprietor said in its annual report that 79 percent were under construction. The company believes sales of completed plots have been on the rise since 2016 in total home sales.
Its share of total sales was 7 per cent in 2015, 10 per cent in 2016, 12 per cent in 2017, 15 per cent in 2018 and 18 per cent in 2019, the company said in a statement. City-wise, Chennai had the highest share of completed plot sales at 32 per cent, followed by Hyderabad at the lowest. ‘Home buyers are opting for low-risk ready-to-move-in plots.
