According to the operating rules, published in Diário da República this Wednesday, the “IVAucher” covers shopping in three new cultural activities.
The Government had already revealed that it would add the book publishers and record stores the program to stimulate consumption, but the new regulatory decree brought something new: the inclusion of cultural and recreational associations, advances the Público newspaper.
This means that the VAT accumulated in June, July and August in these three activities will count towards the “IVAucher” balance if taxpayers have requested an invoice with a Tax Identification Number (NIF).
Between October 1st and December 31st, consumers can enjoy a discount on new purchases using the balance accumulated in these activities as well.
Thus, the “IVAucher” now encompasses not only catering, accommodation and culture companies, but also book publishers, record stores and cultural associations.
Activities include restaurants, cafes, patisseries, hotels, pensions, furnished accommodation for tourists, rural spaces, inns, tourist villages, cinemas, theaters, museums, historic monuments, parks and zoos.
Bookstores were already covered, but not the publishing companies themselves, which also have establishments or online stores.
