Millions of jobs with scraping policy

Prime Time Zone, Webdesk: Union Transport and Roads Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that the voluntary scraping of old vehicles will create 25 lakh jobs as announced in the budget for the next financial year. He added that it would also help reduce auto component prices by 40 per cent. He said that due to the measures taken by the Center, India will become an automobile manufacturing hub in the next five years. Vehicles older than 15 years are less fuel efficient. The scraping approach will help to overcome these problems as there are high maintenance costs. In addition, the Center has provided Rs. 50 crore has been allotted, he said. Similarly, efforts are being made to set up a logistics park.
