O Ministry of Economy had one of its wings vacated on Thursday, 8, after an official, from the parliamentary affairs area, tested positive for the new coronavirus. The area in question is located on the 5th floor of the building that houses the portfolio at Esplanada dos Ministérios, in Brasília. Part of the ward servants were already working home office, but the rest of the employees who provided the services in person received the same guidance due to the detection of Covid-19 on one of the team members.
Despite the minister’s office Paulo Guedes also staying on the 5th floor, the employee did not maintain recent direct contact with the head of the Ministry, who continued to comply with the day’s commitments. Among the activities foreseen in Guedes’s agenda this afternoon, was a meeting from 2 pm to 3:20 pm with President Jair Bolsonaro and another, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm, with the Chief Minister of the Civil House, Luiz Eduardo Ramos. The head of Economy took the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 on March 27, at the age of 71. The second dose should be applied later this month.
