Occasional rise in petrol and diesel prices by 50 paise is a major concern across the country. A leader like NTR, who is very popular, also sat in a dharna in front of the Vijayawada Pandit Nehru bus station on the national highway. The whole country was rocked by concerns over the activities of left-wing parties and mass protests, such as the burning of effigies and the blockade of national highways. Eventually the center had to soften a bit. Most people will remember .. At that time there was a system called Oil Pull Account. The Center maintains this account so that the impact of falling or rising crude oil prices in the international market does not fall directly on the people. That system is called the EPA. Lifted during the reign. The Center has allowed oil companies to raise and lower rates in line with prices in the international market. Since then the center has been escaping its responsibility. But, along with the companies, the central and state governments are raising taxes. Can they be controlled by the governments? .. That is, the elders in power will not open their mouths about them. In 2014, Yi, P.A. Petrol price, which was Rs 79.80 paise during the regime, has gone up to Rs 94.99 paise. Of this, the tax levied by the Center is Rs 32, the tax levied by the State is Rs 19 and another three and a half rupees under the Dealer Commission. Despite the reduction in the base price, it seems certain that the common man’s interest will be broken due to the amount of taxes. The oil companies, which have been increasing at the rate of a few paise a day, and the central and state governments, which have been raising their taxes in the same way, continue to suck blood from the common man without their knowledge.
Despite all this, the common man stopped questioning. Questioning public associations have been scrambling to figure out how to stop the movement, barricade itself with bourgeois parties and increase seats in elections. Despite all this, why did people stop turning and questioning? Is there any point in questioning? .. or is it because we have come to the conclusion that we have lost the right to question? The people who take money from the leaders and cast their votes at the five-yearly election festival, do we get the feeling that we have not sold to that leader for five years..or I have bought power for five years, so the arrogant feeling of the rulers that whatever I do for these five years will be valid..that is all that seems real. If this situation continues, it is certain that no matter how much anarchy governments do tomorrow, the common man will not question us. But, a positive element in the whole affair is that instead of urging the government to reduce the price of petrol, which has come close to one hundred rupees, people are thinking in the direction of how to get that hundred rupees .. (whether it is illegal or legal). The common man should think whether to think it positively or forget it.
