Petrol, Diesel Prices: Petrol prices are falling. Oil prices are rising day by day. This is becoming a burden to the common man. These days when vehicles are available to everyone .. pockets are facing a situation where prices are rising. The rise in prices has drawn sharp criticism from motorists. Freshly raised prices for the fifth day. Oil companies on Saturday hiked petrol prices by 38 paise a liter and diesel by 30 paise a liter.
Prices in major cities of the country are as follows.
In Delhi, a liter of petrol costs Rs 88.44 while diesel costs Rs 78.74. In Hyderabad, petrol is priced at Rs 91.96 and diesel at 85.89 paise. In Mumbai, petrol was priced at Rs 94.93 and diesel at Rs 85.70. In Chennai, petrol is priced at Rs 90.70 and diesel at Rs 83.86. In Kolkata, petrol is priced at Rs 89.73 while diesel is priced at Rs 82.33. In Bangalore, petrol is priced at Rs 91.40 while diesel is priced at Rs 83.47
Oil companies set petrol and diesel prices every day based on standards. However the dealers are the people who run the petrol pumps who sell to the customers at retail prices after adding taxes, their own margins to the customers.
