Mumbai: The market value of the top 10 companies rose by Rs 5.13 lakh crore last week. Banking shares saw the highest gains. The BSE Sensex was up 4,445.86 points, or 9.60 per cent. The Sensex closed at 51,000 points. HDFC Bank rose the most at Rs 1.13 lakh crore to Rs 8.79 lakh crore. Public Sector SBI (State Bank of India) Market Value Rs. HDFC value jumped by Rs 61,836 crore to Rs 4.89 crore, an increase of Rs 99,063 crore to Rs 3.50 lakh crore.
ICICI Bank’s market cap rose by Rs 53,606 crore to Rs 4.24 lakh crore. Kotak Mahindra Bank rose by Rs 53,395 crore to Rs 3,92,741 crore, while Reliance Industries rose by Rs 51,254 crore to Rs 12.19 lakh crore. Reliance Industries topped the list of top 10, followed by Tata Consultancy Services, HDFC Bank, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC, ICICI Bank, Kotak Bank, SBI and Bajaj Finance.
