The installed capacity utilization rate increased to 76.4% in August, as expected

Industrial production of USA grew 0.4% in August compared to July, according to data published on Wednesday, 15, by the Federal Reserve (Fed, the US central bank). The result was slightly below the expectations of analysts consulted by The Wall Street Journal, who predicted a monthly increase of 0.5%.

The advance of industrial production in July compared to June was slightly revised downwards, from 0.9% to 0.8%.

The installed capacity utilization rate increased to 76.4% in August, as expected. The one for July was revised upwards, from 76.1% to 76.2.
