Angel Face’s actor’s body undergoes forensics due to ‘suspicious death’

The body of Luiz Carlos Araújo, interpreter of Valter in Carinha de Anjo (2016), will be examined by the Legal Medical Institute (IML) and the Criminalistics Institute (IC). According to information released this Sunday (12), a strong odor was registered in the place where the actor was, which motivated the case to be registered as a “suspicious death”.

“The case was registered as a suspicious death by the 2nd Police District (Bom Retiro), which requested expertise from the Forensic Medicine (IML) and Criminalistics (IC) institutes”, explained the Public Security Department of São Paulo to the TV news.

“According to witnesses, they had been trying to contact the victim for a few days and she was not responding to messages. Concerned, they went to the place where the man lived to check what had happened. As they approached the apartment door, it was possible smell a strong odor. Military police officers were called and, upon entering the site, they found the victim’s body,” he added.

Araújo was found dead on Saturday (11), in São Paulo. He was 42 years old. The actor’s friends and family confirmed the death on social networks and gave statements to the police, who are investigating the case.

According to Marilice Cosenza, Araújo’s friend, the actor had not contacted him since the last day 5. With the help of a locksmith, the police managed to enter his apartment, and professionals found the actor lifeless in his bed. Authorities point out that he had been dead for at least three days.
