You do not need to be a subscriber to the TNT channel to follow the Champions League round of 16 on the biggest screen in the house. The matches are broadcast free of charge through Facebook Watch, on the TNT Sports Brasil page. You can access this streaming service by downloading the Facebook Watch application on Smart TV, video game or devices such as Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV Stick and Apple TV. Other options are to mirror the phone screen on the TV or connect the computer to the TV using an HDMI cable.

The simplest and most cost-free way to watch Champions games on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, at 5 pm, is to download the Facebook Watch application on the Smart TV itself. According to the platform, this option is available on models from Samsung, LG and Sony, or any other Smart TV that uses the Android operating system.

Televisions with more than three or four years of use, which can vary from brand to brand, do not always offer the application. If this is your case and you like games, the tip is to download the app on the Xbox One console and see the games through the video game connected to the TV.

Through Chromecast, the viewer can also play Champions League games via Facebook Watch on the TV screen. For this, it is necessary to connect the device, which costs from R $ 258 (Full-HD version), to an HDMI input on the TV.

On your phone or tablet, you will need the Facebook and Google Home apps. Both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

A similar option is the Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite, which costs around R $ 300 (Full-HD resolution) and does not need a cell phone to work: the user only needs to download the Facebook Watch application. The product takes advantage of offering a remote control with Alexa, allowing voice commands to search for content.

And those who have a 4th generation Apple TV set-top box (cost from R $ 1,699) can also download the application from the Apple store. The process is similar to that of Fire TV or Smart TVs.

Televisions of the LG, Samsung and Sony brands from 2018 still allow you to mirror the image of the iPhone or iPad on the TV without needing other devices, through AirPlay technology. The same facility is also available on Android devices. The difference is that each manufacturer adopts a different name for this mirror. LG speaks on the basis of Screen Share; Samsung calls Screen Mirroring.

Of all the options, the oldest is the direct connection of the notebook logged in to Facebook with the TV via an HDMI cable. Depending on the installation, make sure the cable is large enough to accommodate the computer safely, preventing accidents.

TNT’s app gets paid

In addition to Facebook Watch, Champions League matches are also broadcast on the TNT Sports Stadium service. The monthly package costs R $ 19.90 (or R $ 13.90 per month in the annual package).

The service, which gives simultaneous access to up to two devices, allows you to see one of the matches on your cell phone or computer and the other on Smart TV (LG and Samsung brands from 2016), for example. This facility is also available on Facebook Watch, through a single login.

To avoid transmission problems, TNT recommends a minimum of 5MB of exclusive speed for streaming from the Stadium, without sharing the broadband with other devices on the same network. The service also displays games from the Brazilian, Italian and Chilean championships.
