Ashish Kaushal Kangana, author of ‘Didda: The Warrior Queen of Kashmir’, has approached the Bandra Metropolitan Court alleging copyright infringement. Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut has announced that she is going to bring the life story of Rani Didda of Kashmir to the screen. However, author Ashish Kaushal has alleged that Kangana is making the film based on his book. He said that he had translated ‘Didda: The Warrior Queen of Kashmir’ into Hindi as ‘Kashmir Ki Yodh Rani Didda’ and mailed him the same copy. But he told the court that he had betrayed her and that she had used the lines in her book to announce the Queen of Kashmir movie as a Twitter platform, meaning that the story was also hers. The court directed the police to register an FIR against Kangana. Cases of treason and cheating were registered against her under sections 405, 415 and 120B of the IPC.
