From the 8th of August, the trips of the CPTM Tourist Express (Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos) to Paranapiacaba, in the middle of the Serra do Mar, in Santo André, are being held again, after a year and a half paralyzed due to the covid-19 pandemic. The first trips will be on August 8th and 22nd and September 5th and 19th, exclusively for those who purchased the ticket before the pandemic and did not request a refund.
All passengers with outstanding travel will be contacted by CPTM to reschedule the tour. This contact will respect the order of the trip initially purchased. The same ticket already purchased must be presented on the date of the new trip. If it is not possible to accept the trip on the dates proposed by the company, the ticket will not expire and the passenger, if desired, can still request a refund.
“Passengers who bought tickets, did not travel and chose to wait will be rewarded now. All trips will respect all safety protocols so that the trip to Paranapiacaba is an unforgettable and safe experience,” said CPTM President Pedro Moro.
CPTM forecasts that 13 trips will be needed to serve the 1,350 people who have valid tickets. The total passenger capacity on each trip will be determined by the São Paulo Plan – 60% of the total seat capacity is currently allowed, corresponding to 103 people.
Passengers who have questions can access the CPTM page or contact the company by e-mail [email protected], whatsapp (11) 9 9767 7030 or contact center 0800 055 0121. When contacting us, you will need to inform the name of the person who purchased the ticket, original date of travel and ticket number. The response period will be five working days.
Also in 2021, CPTM intends to make two trips to Jundiaí with the objective of serving around 150 people with pending trips due to the pandemic. As for Mogi das Cruzes, there were no pending tickets.
