Set in Rio de Janeiro, the plot of Carlos Saldanha, nominated for an Oscar for the animation “O Touro Ferdinando”, rescues classic characters from Brazilian folklore in a police story full of mysteries.

“It is a great joy to see our product, from Brazil, reach so many parts of the world and please so many people. It was my first 100% Brazilian project and I couldn’t be happier with the opportunity to continue telling this story ”, commented Saldanha. The new season will not take place in Rio and promises to explore a new region of Brazil, the story will also gain new characters, but the details will be kept secret for now, including the news in the cast.

“’Invisible City’ was born out of a very beautiful desire to rescue characters from our folklore. These are stories that are part of the affective memory of Brazilians, but that had not yet been approached with a contemporary vision. While we are celebrating the positive return of fans of the series here and in other countries, we also recognize that we have an even greater commitment to making more people see themselves represented in this second season ”, commented Haná Vaisman, content manager for Original Brazilian Series from Netflix.
