Geraldo Luís tested positive for Covid-19 this Tuesday (23) and was hurriedly removed by Record from his works ahead of A Noite É Nossa. He, who belongs to the risk group for being diabetic, will be replaced by Luiz Bacci in the next editions of the weekly program.
As a safety measure, the broadcaster opted to remove all employees who had contact with the presenter in the past few days, as members of the production and technical staff, who accompany him on the recordings of the interviews outside the studio.
From the cast of A Noite É Nossa, only Geraldo will be out of the air. According to the medical protocol, he will only be able to return to Record after 14 days if the disease does not bring complications.
Bacci was informed today by the company that he will not be working at Cidade Alerta as of Wednesday (24) in order to dedicate himself fully to A Noite É Nossa. The broadcaster is still studying how it will deal with the distribution of tasks among its presenters who will need to be relocated to cover the absences of those who will be affected by the temporary reorganization.
Even off the air, Geraldo will appear in tomorrow’s edition of his show. He recorded an interview with Luigi Baricelli before testing positive for the new coronavirus, and the conversation is on the attraction grid.
