The singer also revealed that she would charge ‘a living wage’ of R $ 50,000 to present a TV program giving tips to the public
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the singer Gretchen is living in Brazil and, at that time, she married the musician Ezra de Souza, with whom he currently lives in Belém do Pará. The relationship commented when the singer was invited to accompany Círio de Nazaré. “I met him playing the saxophone. He is a musician from Fafá de Belém and she invited me to do a show with her band. I went to the rehearsal and sat next to him, started to see him play and then hired him ”, said the artist in an interview with Panic this Thursday, 25. Esdras was the novelty that Gretchen took to the Agrada Gregos block, in São Paulo. The saxophonist played live accompanied by the electronic beat of the block.
Before making the relationship official, the artist said that she “took a hit” from her current husband. Ezra, who also participated in the Panic, started by telling: “We were getting ready for the show, she sat next to me. I thought, ‘Who’s responsible?’ I couldn’t concentrate on the score with her there, because when she arrives it looks like there is a fire around her. On the show, I didn’t know if I watched her dancing or read the score. In a moment she said, ‘I’m going to marry you,’ ”said Ezra. Laughing, Gretchen added, “And he replied, ‘The best I can do is give you a hug.'”
As a pandemic, they got closer and, unlike many couples who ended up separating during this period, the singer said that this relationship only strengthened the relationship. “That was when we saw that we could get married. The carnival ended on the 26th of February, I would leave for France on the 30th of March, but when the pandemic came I was in Belém and there was still no case of Covid-19 and in São Paulo there was already a lot. Thammy told me to stay in Belém because he would come to São Paulo to embark for France. We started to be together and it is staying together 24 hours a day that you can see if you can get married. ”
At her 18th wedding, Gretchen said she doesn’t care about criticism: “I don’t think I’m crazy, I just don’t deprive myself of being happy. It doesn’t matter if it will be good, if it will work, because if you don’t try you won’t know. I’m the type I prefer to say, ‘Look, I regretted it’. Than: ‘Ah, what if I had done it and it was good?’ ”. The singer said that her life story inspires many women and even took a coach course to assist people in a clinic she opened with Esdras, who is a music therapist. The artist revealed that she even wants to present a program to share her experiences and help viewers live, but made it clear that, for this, she wants to receive a good remuneration. “A living wage today for me to survive and pay my bills is R $ 50,000. I’m talking about a reality thinking about how the world is today, since I’m not doing shows. ”
