In Império, José Alfredo ‘resurrects’ and walks around in a coffin with special help

José Alfredo (Alexandre Nero) will let the family mourn his fake death in Império. But he will “resurrect” and walk out of his coffin with the help of Cristina (Leandro Leal) and Josué (Roberto Birindelli). In Globo’s nine o’clock soap opera, the commander’s departure will be nothing more than a plan of his to escape accusations and return even more powerful.

Accused of murder and of being a thief, the protagonist decided to forge his own death in Aguinaldo Silva’s novel. The rich man will drink a green liquid, made by his witch friend Espinoza (Simon Petracchi), and will have a kind of heart attack in front of his family.

For the plan to work, he will have two accomplices: Cristina and Josué. After the false death, the sons of the man in black will want to cremate their father’s body and throw the ashes on Mount Roraima. But Cora’s niece (Marjorie Estiano) will say that the businessman had said days before that he wanted to be buried in the family tomb.

Josué will confirm the story, and Maria Marta (Lilia Cabral) will ask them to fulfill her husband’s wish. Responsible for taking care of the wake, the commander’s faithful squire will get a coffin a little bigger than the conventional one and will place, without anyone seeing, an oxygen device among the flowers.

The rescue

After the funeral, José Alfredo will wake up in agony inside the coffin. With difficulty breathing, he will pick up his cell phone to see how much time is left for the employee to get him out of there. At the wheel, heading for the cemetery, Joshua will face some obstacles to get there.

“Shit, Joshua, the battery is running out. Where are you, we’ve arranged everything right, you’re not going to leave me in this cold now. Come on, Joshua, come,” the commander will say. With more and more difficulty breathing, he will become unconscious.

The henchman will arrive at the cemetery and will be able to open the lid of the coffin, but he will find the boss unconscious. “There wasn’t time. Shit life!”, the employee will curse, bursting into tears. At this moment, he will hear the entrepreneur’s voice calling him. “It’s alive!”, he will celebrate. “Wasn’t that what was agreed?” the man in black will ask.

José Alfredo will be relieved to be able to breathe and will comment that he never thought air would taste good. “I like life! Everyone says that when someone goes through a mess, they are born again. So I was born three times, when my mother put me in the world, when I set foot on Mount Roraima. And again today. I was reborn, I’m alive !”, will release it.

Written by Aguinaldo Silva, Império (2014) won a “special edition” to fill the hole left after the end of Amor de Mãe on Globo’s prime time. The unprecedented Um Lugar ao Sol, the next telenovela in the 9 pm range, was postponed to premiere in the second half of this year.
