Marvel Studios released on Monday (3) a trailer to celebrate its upcoming releases and revealed a series of news. Among the main ones are the first scenes of Eternos, a feature film that will have Oscar winner Chloé Zhao in the direction, and the official titles of the sequences of Black Panther and Captain Marvel.
In Eternos, the preview highlights the main cast comprising Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Salma Hayek and Kumail Najiani. In the comics, the Eternals are a race of immortal beings that have lived on Earth for thousands of years and influenced the course of human history.
Black Widow and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which premiere in July and September respectively, have already had trailers released and won some unpublished scenes in the new preview.
For the future, Marvel has officially announced the titles for the Black Panther and Captain Marvel sequences and their official dates. The first will be called Black Panter: Wakanda Forever (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), while the second will be The Marvels, which in Portuguese could be translated to The Marvels, in clear reference to the participation of Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris).
First film without Chadwick Boseman, Wakanda Forever will open in theaters on July 8, 2022. The Marvels has set the official date for November 11 of the same year.
Two other studio releases that already had official titles also won dates for their big screen debut. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (Ant-Man 3) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrive on February 17 and May 5, 2023 respectively.
The end of the video also recalled that the Marvel Universe will also have the company of the Fantastic Four. Without further details revealed, the team’s first MCU film will be directed by Jon Watts, the commander of the three Spider-Man features starring Tom Holland.
