Admitted to the Sírio-Libanês Hospital, in São Paulo, Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega tested positive for Covid-19. Laboratory analysis of the 84-year-old presenter came out and attested that he contracted the coronavirus after his wife and son were infected. “All tests are rated ten. Bad, only the confirmation of the virus. It was in the face”, he lamented this Monday (22).
The SBT press office provided details on the health status and treatment of the holder of the A Praça É Nossa program. “He is fine. He had a new tomography and the lung is clean. He is already taking antibiotics as a precaution,” the station informed the TV News.
The veteran tested positive after his wife, Renata Domingues, contracted the virus. She is admitted to the same hospital and is even in the room next to her husband. João Victor, 20, son of the presenter with Andréa Nóbrega, was also infected and is undergoing treatment at his home in Alphaville.
The presenter got the Covid-19 vaccine on February 10. But, after seeing his wife and son sick, he became alert about his health. On Saturday (20), he had a fever and called his doctors, who admitted him as a precaution immediately. The tests that confirmed coronavirus came out only on Monday after 48 hours of analysis.
“Renata was hospitalized on Thursday . But she already had symptoms and a lot of pain. From Wednesday for Thursday we spent a sleepless night due to her malaise. She was admitted, and I was fine. The only thing I was feeling is that sometimes I get a little cold. But it’s not the flu, “he said in a recent interview.
“My doctor said: ‘You are isolated in your house and only call me if you have a fever’. I went to sleep. I woke up around 5 pm on Saturday, shivering with cold. The temperature was 37 °. [o médico], who said: ‘Now go to the hospital and I will leave everything marked’, “he narrated.
The veteran’s initial tests showed a mark on his lung. “It gave an almost imperceptible spot, which may have been a biopsy I did on the lung in 2019, and it could be the vaccine, because I took the first dose,” he explained.
An infectologist closely monitors the evolution of the SBT employee, and the initial assessment at the time of his hospitalization reassured him. “She examined me and said: ‘Look, I didn’t see Covid-19 in the lung. If it is, it is from the beginning of the beginning and we will solve it soon’. Then, I was excited. I am not feeling anything, nor tired. I fixed my beard. I don’t want to look sick (laughs) “, he had fun.
