Agnaldo Timóteo, 84, had a “small worsening” in his health in the fight against Covid-19. The singer has been intubated in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) of the Casa São Bernardo Hospital, in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, since March 17. The artist’s family confirmed the complication.

To TV News, Timotinho, nephew of the singer, sent the official statement from the artist’s family this Friday (2). The veteran goes on “invasive mechanical ventilation”. Despite the slight deterioration in treatment, family members and doctors say they are “confident in the full recovery” of the musician.

Timóteo was intubated on March 27 because of the serious condition of the disease. The day before, he was lucid, despite the unstable picture.

The artist has already received two doses of the vaccine against Covid-19, the last of which was applied on March 15, two days before he was admitted to the hospital. Doctors believe he got contaminated in the interval between applying the first dose and the second.
