After a season in Nova Zêlandia, José de Abreu will return to Brazil to join the cast of Um Lugar ao Sol, a soap opera that will be shown during prime time on Globo. The actor’s last job at the station was in A Dona do Pedaço (2019), as the businessman Otávio.

José de Abreu’s participation in Um Lugar ao Sol was reported by columnist Patricia Kogut, from the newspaper O Globo. The actor had already informed on his social networks that he received an invitation from Globo and that he is packed to return to Brazil.

“Emotionally touched with the hundreds of people who sent good vibes, after much reflection and duly authorized by the Orixás, I decided to accept Globo’s invitation to go back to work and return to Brazil. I still can’t anticipate anything, but I’m very happy! “he wrote.

The actor added that, despite having chosen to live in another country, acting is vital for him. “Representing for me is like breathing. Without representing, the air can be pure and free of viruses, like the one here, but there is a lame breath, which does not feed me the ‘prana’, the vital principle, so necessary to my spiritual life” , continued in his text.

In addition to the opportunity to return to the screens, José also talked about his possible political plans, and how this return to the country will help him to think about it. “On the other hand, there I will have more opportunities to discuss a possible candidacy for an elective office in 2022. I believe that we will have a lot of work ahead of us to rebuild Brazil after the disaster caused by the genocide. Once again, thank you very much for thinking about me “he concluded.
