Of course, with the insertion in the decoration of frames, pictures, photo murals and other elements. Here we have two very opposite examples of filling walls, with elements that represent exactly the “empty” and the “full” total.
The frames without content and grouped – mainly the oldest ones, mined in antique shops – can be sufficiently attractive, forming a unique art. Mirrors, on the other hand, reflect other elements around, giving more movement to the decorations.
In both cases, it is necessary to carefully study the resulting visual effects – light and shadow or reflection of light, in addition to duplicating images.
Panels and frames
Walls can also be filled with panels of all sizes, made from several different materials – like wooden boards.
They have those large panels of graphic art whose objective is to highlight, in the decoration, the brightness, the color and the reliefs of the painting itself, but without accompanying a frame. The complete frames, on the other hand, have the frame and more the spartan – internal part of the frame – with the function of highlighting the content in the center.

There are types of picture frames: lacquered wood, wood with polychrome treatment, gold or silver leaf, natural wood, metal and passe partout.
Stickers and wallpapers are another beautiful option for filling walls and can cover an entire surface. The coolest of the new models sold on the market is that they almost always come in different colors and textures.
The vast majority have vinyl film, which facilitates cleaning. And there are also those that imitate three dimensions, giving a spectacular effect in the decoration of the environments.
It is also possible to make the walls of the house more attractive with engravings assembled from magazine clippings, for example, or painted with graphite. But there is a tendency that is even higher, that of vertical gardens or living pictures – with a frame, which can be moved or transported to another position.

Frames can also function as frames. These are ready-made pieces, with the empty center reserved for placing 10×15, 13×18, 15×21, 20×25 photos, and more.
We can use several of them – in different styles, sizes, colors, finishes and formats – to compose a very eclectic and stylish decoration. And this gallery should bring a lot more personality to the scene, offering a very cheerful feeling.
There are options for organizing frames in photo galleries: symmetrical or asymmetrical; with the same or different spacing between the pieces; identical or different frames; horizontally or vertically, side by side; and diagonally; following a line of ramps and stairs.
How to do it by hand?
We can use pictures and frames in various special corners of the decorations set up inside the house.
For example, in a reading nook, in a hallway, on the living room sofa, on the bedroom bed, near the dining table, on the opposite wall of the bathroom mirror, and more. And these pieces should help to emphasize the theme chosen for the decoration itself.
If you already know which figures you will use to fill the walls of your home, you can now choose the type of frame for them – classic or modern lines.

And such articles, as a whole, will be able to combine or contrast with the surrounding elements – in a coherent way, making the scenery more visually beautiful and balanced. Everything will depend on your intention.
Ready frames, especially old ones, with high aesthetic value, are always a great investment. And taking to a specialized company, the quality of the framing service – which may come with a protective finish on the back plus anti-reflective glass – is a cost that pays off. But you can also innovate, creating a personalized piece, made with your own hands.
One option is to make the frames with discarded materials, such as painted or varnished recycled wood. It is also possible to use special acrylic mass, EVA and cardboard – adorned with shells, beads, barbecue sticks or dry sticks painted using hot glue. With these materials it is possible to create frames in very bold and unusual ways. Bet on this idea too.
