Marvel’s ex-Hulk confirmed in sequel to Between Knives and Secrets

Edward Norton, the first actor to play Bruce Banner / Hulk in the Marvel Universe films, has been confirmed in the cast of Between Knives and Secrets 2, which will be exclusive to Netflix. He will be one of the novelties of the sequel, alongside Dave Bautista, the Guardians of the Galaxy Drax.

Details about his character were not revealed. The only confirmation is that Daniel Craig will return as investigator Benoit Blanc, the protagonist of the first film.

In March, Netflix paid $ 450 million ($ 2.3 billion) for the rights to two sequels to Entre Facas e Secredos, beating competition from players like AppleTV + and Prime Video. Director of the first feature, Rian Johnson will return in the role for the new films.

Nominated for three Oscars, Norton acted as the Emerald Giant in The Incredible Hulk (2008), the second MCU film. Due to backstage problems, he gave way to Mark Ruffalo, who debuted as the hero in The Avengers (2012) and remains on the role today.

Between Knives and Secrets it cost US $ 40 million (R $ 228 million) to make and raised more than US $ 311 million (R $ 1.7 billion) at the box office. Johnson was nominated for the 2019 Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for his work on the feature.

The plot tells the story of a family that will celebrate the birthday of the patriarch, lived by Christopher Plummer (1929-2021), who dies mysteriously on the night of the event. Craig’s character then goes to the house to interrogate the suspects while chaos ensues among the family.

Chris Evans, LaKeith Stanfield, Ana de Armas, Katherine Langford, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette and Michael Shannon completed the cast. It is not known if any of them will return for the sequences, still without a premiere date.
