[Cuidado: spoilers de WandaVision abaixo]

The seventh episode of WandaVision entered the Disney + catalog this Friday (19) and delivered bombastic revelations in preparation for the end of the series. Titled Breaking the Fourth Wall, the new chapter finally revealed who is behind the reality of Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and showed the emergence of a new heroine.

The final moments of the episode reveal that Agnes (Kathryn Hahn), one of Wanda’s best friends since her arrival in Westville, is actually Agatha Harkness, Marvel’s powerful comic witch and making her MCU debut in WandaVision .

As the series had already suggested, Agnes was never who he claimed to be. The character was the only one without a complete description in the SWORD board about the “victims” of Wanda within the Hex (as the dome that surrounds the alternative reality is called). Therefore, his real identity has always been a mystery – which has just been revealed.

With always questionable attitudes, such as not caring to witness the powers of the Scarlet Witch, Agatha was at all times with Wanda to control what happened around her. As the clip at the end of the episode explains, it is the witch who is behind the appearance of the “fake” Pietro (Evan Peters), among other secrets.

Agatha makes this revelation by preventing Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), who had infiltrated Hex again, from pulling Wanda back into normal reality. Taking the ex-Avenger to her home, the witch induces her to enter her basement, a dark place full of macabre items – like a book that, apparently, could prove to be important in the final chapters.

In the comics, Agatha Harkness is a very important figure in the narrative of the Scarlet Witch and other Marvel characters. Mentor of Wanda Maximoff, she was the one who helped her to control and use her powers. The witch also has a strong connection to the heroine’s children, Billy and Tommy.

Still in the comics, Agatha is responsible for revealing that the twins are, in fact, pieces of the soul of Mephisto (one of Marvel’s demons), considered by some fans as the great villain of the series. In theories discussed on social media, the witch would be after Wanda’s children to bring the entity to Earth – which could explain Billy and Tommy’s disappearance in the episode, as well as the macabre book in the basement.

With the clash between Wanda and Agatha about to happen, such answers will only be found in the final episodes of WandaVision.

Agatha Harkness after revealing her identity

New Avenger

Revealing Agatha’s identity is not the only bomb presented in Breaking the Fourth Wall. The episode also proves that Monica Rambeau, in fact, received superpowers by crossing the Hex barrier three times.

Unable to enter the dome by a SWORD jeep, Jimmy Woo’s partner (Randall Park) decides to go body and soul to save Westville residents from Wanda’s powers. With only the agency’s protective uniform, she crosses the barrier, undergoing changes in her DNA again.

His reunion with the protagonist is not pleasant, and Wanda tries again to expel Monica from the place. This time, however, she manages to resist. With blue eyes and a blurred vision of the new reality, a new heroine began to be introduced to fans: Spectrum.

In the HQs, Monica was the first Captain Marvel after receiving her powers. With the appearance of Carol Danvers (lived in the films by Brie Larson), she adopts the name of Specter several times was part of the Avengers team.

The episode also shows the union between Darcy (Kat Dennings) and Vision (Paul Bettany), which were again swallowed up by Hex in the previous chapter. Upon regaining consciousness with the help of the symptomoid, the doctor finally tells him his story – from his birth in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) to his death at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War (2018).

On the way to find his beloved, Vision still doesn’t know the identity of Agatha’s revelation. With that, a powerful clash is about to happen in Westville, without ruling out the presence of SWORD outside and crazy to get their hands on the remains of the ex-Avenger.

Only two episodes of WandaVision remain, which will be available on Disney + in the next two weeks. The first arrives on February 26, while the final chapter is scheduled for March 5.
