The Legacy of Jupiter, Netflix’s new superhero series, had its premiere date announced for May 7. The attraction, inspired by the comic book by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, revolves around a second generation of heroes, who try to follow their parents’ legendary careers and want to show their worth.
The story was originally published in 2013, in the United States, and will be another work by Mark Millar adapted for the audiovisual – he is also the creator of Kick-ass (2010) and Kingsman (2021).
The plot of The Legacy of Jupiter shows the first generation of superheroes passing the baton to their children, after nearly a century of protecting humanity. Novice heroes are hungry to prove their values and maintain their families’ demanding standards.
The cast consists of Josh Duhamel, Leslie Bibb, Ben Daniels, Elena Kampouris, Mike Wade, Matt Lanter and Andrew Horton. The first season, which will be released on May 7, will have eight episodes.
