Eliminated from Big Brother Brasil 21, Nego Di will be questioned by the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro during investigations into the alleged practice of religious intolerance in the confinement of Globo. This Thursday (18), the agency confirmed that the case has already started to be investigated and that it requested the images of the program for the broadcaster.
“According to the Police Station for Racial Crimes and Intolerance Crimes (Decradi), investigations are ongoing. The police station awaits the program images already requested and will issue a precatory letter to the participant Negro Di to give testimony, since he has not lives in Rio de Janeiro “, informed the police press office to the TV News.
The case was disclosed by journalist Patrícia Kogut, from the O Globo newspaper, and confirmed with the agency by the report. On February 11, Decradi opened an investigation to investigate the alleged practice of religious intolerance by Nego Di, Karol Conká, Projota and Lumena Aleluia. The complaint was made by state deputy Átila Nunes (MDB-RJ).
During a conversation held on February 8, the comedian said, “I sang.” He made a reference to the pun with the orisha Xangô, worshiped by the practitioners of Umbanda and Candomblé. “I arrived in Xangôzar in the room, see,” added the gaucho, which brought laughter from his confinement colleagues.
Then the singer also mocked. “You talking is very funny. ‘I called Xangô, see,'” said the rapper, imitating Lumena’s gestures.
THE TV News got in touch with the comedian’s adviser, but did not get feedback until the publication of this text.
Recurrent in reality
This is not the first time that a program participant has been accused of intolerance. In 2019, Paula von Sperling was also indicted by Decradi for prejudice and religious intolerance after making comments directed at Rodrigo França, a confinement colleague.
The origin of the investigation occurred on February 6 of that year, when, in conversation with Hariany Almeida, the BBB19 champion reported that he did not feel comfortable recommending his brother to the wall: “He messes with these things there. He speaks the time all of that Oxum business [orixá da umbanda, religião de Rodrigo] of them, there, that he knows. I am afraid of all this “.
Hariany tried to warn her: “But don’t talk about it, no. The people of those religions out there will think you’re prejudiced.” “But I am not, no. Our God is greater”, countered Paula. The investigation was opened on February 11, 2019. The case went on after the participants left the confinement.
“Can you imagine taking the victim out of the program to find out if he wants to represent against Paula? He, who would end up expelled from the dispute, would be a victim twice,” explained the then case delegate, Gilbet Stivanello.
At the time, Globo denied the possibility of an alleged agreement with the Civil Police: “The broadcaster reserves the right to decide to exclude the participant, if for legal reasons it is necessary to leave the BBB’s home, as permitted by the regulation from the program.”
The investigation against Paula was filed by the Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro (MPRJ) months later, in October. “Anyone who knows me knows that there was never the intention of offending any member of the reality or any religion. This is not and will never be my nature,” said Paula after the fact.
