Hiram Garcia, president of production at Seven Bucks Productions has confirmed that a fourth film in the Jumanji franchise is already in development. The executive said that, despite being at an early stage, discussions about the next feature circulate great ideas for the plot.

“We are always talking, the whole team,” said Garcia in an interview with the Comicbook website. “It is difficult to remember or imagine a time when I was on a set with such a dear team. It is one of those things that we know we had a great idea and we want to follow. So we are talking.”

Without going into details, the producer confirmed that conversations with the team are resulting in a great idea for the sequel.

“We are moving forward in the conversations we are having. I cannot say anything, but we do have big plans for the film and this is one of our favorite projects to work on and develop,” he concluded.

Jumanji: Next Phase (2019), the third film in the franchise and the second starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, was a critical and box office hit, grossing $ 800 million. Together, the three feature films produced a total of US $ 2 billion (R $ 11.2 billion) worldwide.

In addition to The Rock, the main cast also features Karen Gillan (Avengers: Infinity War), Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Ser’Darius Blain, Morgan Turner, Nick Jonas and Rhys Darby.
