In a late game of the 34th round of the Brazilian Championship, São Paulo and Palmeiras face each other this Friday (19), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in Morumbi. The São Paulo classic will only be broadcast on pay TV, from Premiere to the whole of Brazil – it will not be shown on SporTV. The options for watching online are Premiere Play and Globoplay.
Premiere displays the match for the entire country, and pay-per-view subscribers are also able to follow live and online through Premiere Play or Globoplay. The digital package of Grupo Globo’s platform costs R $ 79.90 in the monthly plan.
With no chance of winning the title and with a guaranteed spot for the Libertadores 2021, Palmeiras has 56 points in the Brazilian Championship. Alviverde comes from a 1-0 defeat by Coritiba and uses the last games of the national tournament to prepare for the finals of the Brazil Cup against Grêmio, on 28 February and 7 March.
São Paulo defeated Grêmio 2-1 in the last round and ended a long fast of victories. With their first triumph in 2021, Tricolor paulista went to 62 points and has remote chances of winning the title. The team, which will be coached by Argentine Hernán Crespo next season, occupies fourth place.
In the first round, Choque-Rei ended with São Paulo’s 2-0 victory over Palmeiras at Allianz Parque, a result that broke the taboo of never having beaten Alviverde at his rival’s home.
