Selena faces consequences of fame in the trailer for the second part of the series

Netflix released the official trailer for the second part of Selena: The Series, starring Christian Serratos, the Rosita from The Walking Dead. The preview shows the title character dealing with fame and needing to face the consequences in her personal and professional life.

Selena’s first part was well received by the public, and the series entered the Top 10 in 23 countries, including Brazil. According to a measurement made by the platform, around 25 million accounts watched the production in its first 28 days. Netflix considers any user who has watched at least two minutes of a single episode as public.

The plot tells the story of the Latin singer Selena Quintanilla (1971-1995), a girl who dreamed of becoming a music star since she was a little girl. When her wish finally comes true, she realizes that not everything is perfect when she needs to deal with fame, money and the relationship with her family.

In addition to Christian, the cast also features Gabriel Chavarria, Ricardo Chavira, Noemí Gonzalez and Seidy López. Moisés Zamora is the showrunner and executive producer.

The new batch of episodes arrives on May 4, ten days before the streaming service originally scheduled it.
