João Augusto, the artist’s eldest son, also said that he plans to follow in his father’s footsteps
The host Gugu Liberato would turn 62 next April 10 and her children – João Augusto, 19, and the twins Marina e Sofia Liberato, 16 years old – said that they plan to do a film about the artist’s trajectory in order to keep his story alive in people’s minds. In an interview with Record TV’s “A Noite é Nossa” program, they recalled remarkable moments that they lived with their father and told what took Gugu seriously. “He hated that we used a cell phone at the restaurant and he was very angry because it was a family time, you know?”, Said João. João Augusto also said that, even studying in Florida, he dreams of following in his father’s footsteps and being presenter. “I have this desire to do what he did in the future. I saw my father entering the stage and my heart was racing. I loved being there and watching him perform, ”he said. Gugu’s eldest son also said that he wanted to present a program in the style of the attractions that his father commanded. Gugu died in November 2019 after suffering a domestic accident at his home in Orlando. João Augusto said that his father’s absence still hurts: “Sometimes something happens and I really want to tell him, but I can’t. If he were alive, he would be following all my journey in college, he would see me having children in the future. And I don’t have that anymore ”, he finished.
