Cesar Filho worsened his health during treatment against Covid-19. On Thursday (11), after having severe coughing episodes, the presenter of Hoje em Dia, from Record, was admitted to the Vila Nova Star Hospital, in São Paulo.
“Since last night, due to a change in blood tests, I have been hospitalized to continue my treatment against Covid-19. Dr. Roberto Zeballos, who is taking care of me, thought it best to bring me to the Vila Nova Star Hospital , where I am being very well taken care of by an entire team “, said Cesar in a statement released on Friday (12).
“Here I receive a full follow-up so that we can have better results”, added the Record contractor. He also updated the public on the health status of the woman, Elaine Mickely, who was infected with the virus. “[Ela] Okay, he stays with me all the time “, he stressed.
In the text published on Instagram, the presenter thanked the affection of the fans, management and colleagues at Record. Cesar also spoke about his recovery: “I am sure I am on the road to healing. God willing, I will be back soon.”
The 60-year-old communicator has been in social isolation since the 1st of February. Elaine tested positive for the disease, but was initially asymptomatic. The couple’s children, Luigi Cesar and Luma Cesar, tested negative for the virus.
