Professionals also concluded that he would need an implant of an internal cardiodefibrillator, which was placed in surgery that same week.
The athlete was discharged on June 18 and stayed out of the spotlight, not commenting on a possible return to the pitch. Due to the implant, Eriksen could not return to play in Italy, since medical protocols prevent players from taking the field with the device. European sports newspapers say that Eriksen wants to return to acting, which, due to his state of health, should only happen in 2022.
