All England Badminton Championship from tomorrow


Prime Time Zone, Sports: Indian star badminton players are set to test their luck in another tournament. The prestigious All England Open Badminton Championships kick off in Birmingham on Wednesday. Indian badminton players work hard for a berth at the Tokyo Olympics. At the recently concluded Swiss Open, all but PV Sindhu failed. Indo lost to Carolina Maria in the final. They are getting ready to compete in the All England Open, the most prestigious tournament after the World Championships. The men’s singles draw features Kidambi Srikanth, Parupalli Kashyap, Sai Praneeth, Lakshya Sen, HS Pranay and Sameer Verma. In the women’s singles, Peevi Sindhu and Saina Nehwal will try their luck. Along with them, Ashwini Ponnappa-Sikkireddy duo, Meghna Jakkampudi-Purvisha Ram, Ashwini Bhatt-Shikha Gautam are in the women’s doubles while Dhruv Kapila-Meghna Jakkampudi, Satvik Sairaj-Ashwini Ponnappa and Pranav Jerry Chopra-Sikki Reddy are in the mixed doubles title title.
