Jackson Follmann used social media on the morning of Friday, the 19th, to explain the decision to terminate with Chapecoense and say goodbye to the club. A survivor of the LaMia plane tragedy, which culminated in the death of most of the delegation of the Santa Catarina association, the former goalkeeper had been the team’s ambassador. Now, Follman, who lost a leg in the accident, will focus on his singing career and will continue to give motivational speeches.

“On March 16, I signed the contract termination with Chapecoense. Contract that had a term until February 23, where both parties opted not to renew. I confess to you that it is being very difficult for me, because it is a very strong bond that I have with the institution, but, regardless of what happens from now on, the story will never fade ”, he wrote. “Today I am no longer an employee of the club, but my affection, respect and admiration for the club and fans will be eternal. I have an affection and passion for Chapecó too, because it was here that I got married, it was here that my son was born and it was here that I created bonds of friendship, which is the most important for me at that moment ”, said the former goalkeeper .
