India vs England 2nd Test: After forgetting defeat in the first Test against England, Kohli’s side prepared for another fight. The second Test between India and England will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium from Saturday. India, who need to win at least two Tests in the series to start the World Test Championship final, have to start here. On the other hand, if they win this test, the Root army will be safe from the danger of losing the series.
However, the BCCI set up a different pitch compared to the first Test. Adapts well to spin from day one. However it is interesting to see if such a pitch can survive for five days. In this context the toss is once again going to be crucial. The match is not threatened by rain. England have announced their 12-man squad for the match. Senior pacer Anderson’s brilliant spell in the second innings was instrumental in England’s solid victory in the first Test. Anderson said he was looking forward to playing in the second Test after that. The Board of England, however, has made it clear that it will not change its ‘rotation’ policy at all. He will be replaced by another senior, Stuart Broad.
As far as Team India is concerned, the inability of the other two spinners except Ashwin to make any impact was one of the reasons for India’s defeat in the first Test. Left-arm spinner Akshar Patel, who was ruled out of the match due to injury, has fully recovered and is preparing for the match. He was confirmed to be making his Test debut. Akshar plays in place of Shahbaz Nadeem. However, Kuldeep Yadav was left in the final squad.
