Nigeria’s young forward Bright Enobakhare announced on Friday that he had reached an agreement. Enobakhare, 22, last played for Greek club AEK Athens. Wolverhampton played 43 matches for the team and scored only three goals. Head coach Robbie Fowler said he was happy to be part of the team, adding that East Bengal is the largest club in India.
East Bengal are currently 10th in the points table. Three draws and four defeats in the seven matches played have drawn sharp criticism. Thursday and Friday matches are not scheduled in the wake of the New Year. The match between Kerala Blasters and Mumbai City will be played on Saturday.
