Paulo Dybala remains out of Juventus games but there is a date set for his return to the competition: March, 9, the day of reception FC Porto, in the second “hand” of the round of 16 of the Champions League.
Among the several important players injured, Dybala is the most prolonged case. The Argentine was injured against Sassuolo (left in the first half) on the day January, 10. Or problem no knee has been more complicated than anticipated.
After the duel with Sassuolo, the Italian champion announced that the striker had a middle collateral ligament in his left knee. The initial indication pointed to a full recovery within two weeks, at most three weeks.
It’s been a month and a half and the player hasn’t played yet. The Argentine international was in Porto, last week, in the 2-1 defeat against FC Porto, but did not make the squad because he was not yet ready to return. And it still isn’t.
This Wednesday, according to the CalcioMercato portal, the footballer was in Barcelona to be seen by an expert. Dybala continues to experience discomfort, or even pain, in the knee. Nothing relevant was detected, there is no scheduled operation; and the forecast, according to the same source, is that Dybala will play for 30 minutes against FC Porto – if no unforeseen event arises again.
Coach Andrea Pirlo has several important players out: Leonardo defenders Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini, the medium Arthur e Juan Square and forwards Paulo Dybala and Álvaro Morata (although the Spaniard must recover quickly from a viral infection).
