In Raposa since April 2013, the defender played for the last time on October 19, 2019, in the 2-1 victory over Corinthians, in São Paulo, for the 27th round of the Brazilian Championship
A Labor Justice of Minas Gerais granted, on Monday, 22, an injunction in favor of the defender Dede, which allows the termination of the defender’s contract with the cruise. Judge Fábio Gonzaga de Carvalho, from the 48th Labor Court, accepted the player’s request, which required the unilateral severance of the bond – expected to end in December 2021 -, alleging delays in the transfer Service Guarantee Fund (FGTS). Brazilian law provides for the validity of termination when the employer fails to transfer the FGTS for a period equal to or greater than three months. In the decision, the magistrate also informed that Cruzeiro did not contest the defense defender’s accusation regarding non-compliance with this obligation.
In early January, Dedé filed a lawsuit in the Labor Court charging Cruzeiro an amount in excess of R $ 35 million, referring to non-payment of labor costs, in addition to the termination of the contract. According to the defense of the player, Cruzeiro owes the defender six months of salary (R $ 450 thousand per month), 10 of image rights (R $ 300 thousand per month) and four of FGTS deposit. In addition, according to the defender, there are other pending issues related to 2019. However, the first request for an injunction to interrupt the bond, filed on January 4, was rejected by the court. In the decision, labor judge Paulo Maurício Ribeiro Pires regretted Dedé’s argument, who in the labor lawsuit said he was in a situation similar to that of a slave.
“From another point of view, the initial claim is regrettable that the petitioner, whose remuneration amounts to R $ 750,000.00 (and that at least partially was uncontroversially paid over the years), is being subjected to remain as a ‘slave ‘. A pitiful comparison, notably considering the critical socio-economic moment that the overwhelming majority of the Brazilian population is experiencing, due to the consequences of the pandemic that has been plaguing the world, corresponding to the spread of COVID-19 – many aiming merely to get a job in receive the minimum wage, in the current year, adjusted to the amount of R $ 1,100.00 ”, said the magistrate
In Cruzeiro since April 2013, Dedé played for the last time on October 19, 2019, in the 2-1 victory over Corinthians, in São Paulo, for the 27th round of the Brazilian Championship. At the time, he left injured for the entrance of Cacá. Since then, he has undergone several types of treatment, from conservative to surgical – a procedure performed in Rio de Janeiro, in March, by professionals he trusted. From 2015 to 2017, Dedé had already lived with numerous injuries that made him spend most of his time in the medical department. In 188 matches for Cruzeiro, he scored 15 goals and won seven titles: two Brazilian Championships (2013 and 2014), two Brazilian Cups (2017 and 2018) and three Mineiro Championships (2014, 2018 and 2019).
