The selection technician of the Turkey, Stefan Kuntz, was caught by the cameras of a local broadcaster crying after the end of the game between Latvia and Turkey, by the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup. The Turks trailed until the 25th minute of the second half, but managed to come back with a goal in the last minute. Former German base coach Kuntz was hired to head the national team in September. The duel was well fought – and very hard. At 25, Demiral scored against and put Latvia ahead. Five minutes later, Dursun tied the game. But at 55, Yilmaz gave the victory to the Turks with a penalty goal. The victory leaves Turkey alive in the Group G. With 15 points, the team is in third, behind the Holland (19 points) and Norway (17) with two rounds to go. Only the first in each group advances, but the runners-up are entitled to a repechage. In the next Data Fifa, the opponents will be Gibraltar and Montenegro, on November 13th and 16th.
