Sri Lankan Legends in the Road Safety World Series Final


Prime Time Zone, Sports: The second semifinal of the Road Safety World Series 2021 was held on Friday in Raipur. The Sri Lankan Legends won by 8 wickets against the South African Legends. Sri Lanka Legends bowler Kulasekara broke the back of the South African Legends who won the toss and elected to bat. South African openers Morne van Wink (53) and Alviro Pietersen (27) were the only batsmen to score. Kulasekara Dhati continued to take wickets. The South African Legends were all out for 125 in the allotted 20 overs as he and other bowlers took wickets regularly. Sri Lanka Legends chased down the target with 126 runs for the loss of two wickets. Tillakaratne Dilshan (18) and Sanath Jayasuriya (18) were the openers but Upal Taranga (39 not out) and Chintaka Jayasinghe (47) played aggressively. Sri Lanka Legends lost 2 wickets in just 17.2 overs and scored 129 runs. They won by 8 wickets in the second semis and reached the final. The final match between Sri Lanka Legends and India Legends will be played in Mumbai on Sunday night.
