The second day was India


Prime Time Zone Webdesk: India dusted off on the second day of the fourth Test against England. Rishabh Pant’s century and Washington Sunder’s half-century helped India win the second day’s play. India struggled, losing six wickets for 146 runs at one stage. Rishabh Pant then went on to bat and hit 101 off 118 balls with his hit. James Anderson attempted a huge shot in the bowling and was caught by England captain Jorut.

Then Washington Sunder also played a speedy half-century to give India an 89-run lead by 294/7 by the close of play on the second day. By the end of the second day, Washington Sundar was at the crease with 60 (117) and Akshar Patel at the crease with 11 (34).

Today, Rohit Sharma scored 49, Chateshwar Pujara 17, Rahane 27 and Ashwin 13. Captain Virat Kohli was ducked. When England won the toss and elected to bat yesterday, they were all out for 205 in the first innings.
