Tiquinho Soares has been at Tianjin Teda since September 2020. The player wants to terminate his contract, since he has not received any salary since he arrived there.
In September last year, Tiquinho Soares left FC Porto to join Tianjin Ted, from China, with the ‘dragons’ receiving 5.4 million euros for the player.
However, what would be a dream transfer for a footballer in his 30s, quickly became a nightmare. The Brazilian put a case in FIFA claiming not to have received any salary since he moved to the Chinese club, writes the newspaper A BOLA.
The striker requires that he be given grounds to be able to terminate the contract unilaterally and be free to sign with other clubs. Tiquinho Soares is linked to Tianjin Teda until December 2023 and has a 40 million euro termination clause.
Pending the resolution of the case, the player is training in Portugal to keep in shape, more precisely in Porto.
“I sent a document on February 5th. Today there are 18. So it is getting closer and closer to solving my situation. I can’t wait to start training again with a group, be related to the games and act. For now, I keep maintaining my physical preparation here in the city of Porto, waiting for a definition ”, said the player, quoted by Globoesporte.
The Chinese SuperLiga ended in November last year, with Tianjin taking the bottom spot in Group B, with just three points from 14 games. Tiquinho participated in seven games, scoring two goals and making two assists.
With FC Porto, Francisco Soares scored 64 goals in 140 matches between 2016 and 2020.
