Haris Seferovic assumes that he would like to play in the Premier League and anticipates his departure from Luz: “I cannot guarantee that I will fulfill the contract with Benfica”.
Despite the strong competition in the Benfica squad, Haris Seferovic it has been a usual option for Jorge Jesus, adding more minutes than Luca Waldschmidt.
The striker has a contract with SL Benfica until June 2024, but in an interview with Blue Sport, admitted leaving the club before the end of the contract. The Swiss international confessed that he liked to venture into the Premier League.
“I feel very comfortable here. Portugal is a very beautiful country and Benfica a great club where they play to win titles in all seasons. For me and my family everything fits here ”, started by saying Seferovic, quoted by the newspaper Record.
“Still, I cannot say for sure that I will fully comply with the contract with Benfica. I admit that there is a league I would love to go to. What? THE Premier League. I’ve seen a lot in my career and I’ve worked in Germany, Spain, Italy and Portugal. Now I would like to know English football, ”he added.

Seferovic, who was infected with the new coronavirus, says he is fully recovered when it comes to his fitness. Still, he admits it was not easy.
“I feel as good as I did before the infection. The first games after the return were tough. I had physical difficulties, because I was out of breath after a few sprints. I had to be replaced after 60 minutes in the first game. I had cramps and I couldn’t continue. During the period of infection I lost four kilos ”, said the ‘red’ player.
“There were several infections in the squad. Many holders tested positive, which forced the team to run. This meant that players who were not used to playing together were sometimes on the field. Later, there was also some bad luck ”, said the 28-year-old footballer.
