FLIPKART: E-commerce giant Flipkart has come forward to say that we are also for environmental protection. It has decided to use electric vehicles in addition to petrol cargo vehicles for the delivery of goods. Flipkart has announced that it will deploy more than 25,000 electric vehicles by 2030. Two-wheelers and two-wheelers are being introduced for delivery in cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Guwahati.
Flipkart includes 2-wheeler, 3-wheeler, as well as 4-wheeler vehicles in its EV vehicles. Flipkart is partnering with corporate eV companies like Hero Electric, Mahindra Electric and Piaggio to assemble the vehicles. It will also set up charging points close to 1,400 delivery facilities soon. Conducts awareness programs in advance for this
Now, the first EV to be introduced by Flipkart is the NYX series of Hero electric scooters that offer a range of 150 km on a single full charge. This is very useful for deliveries. Electric scooters are being assembled by Flipkart’s Logistics Deployment Partner in the metropolitan cities of India in Kolkata, Guwahati and Bhubaneswar. Mahindra Electric Tre Jore will use electric three-wheelers for the delivery of large quantities of goods. It offers a maximum in-class payload of 550 kg with a peak torque of 42 Nm along with 10.7 hp of power output.
