A Aptera Motors is preparing to launch the first solar powered car to be mass produced by the end of the year.

A Aptera Motors, an American company, recently introduced the world’s first car solar powered to be mass produced, the first in a series of “environmentally friendly vehicles” that the company intends to offer for private and commercial use in the future.

Compared to other cars on the market, this car will be a very affordable option, since its price will be around $ 25,900.

The model, which bears the same name as the company, is an ultradinamic three-wheel electric vehicle with photovoltaic cells. The company says that at least 90% of the energy powered by the vehicle’s solar panels is used to make the car move.

On a sunny and cloudless day, photovoltaic cells can provide enough energy for the car to travel almost 65 kilometers.

Transport is the biggest source of pollution in the United States. According to the creators, cited by The Washington Post, The Aptera, which resembles the “Batmobile”, is 13 times more efficient than a pick-up powered by gasoline and four times more powerful than an ordinary electric model.

The car is able to go from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds, with maximum speeds of 177 km / h. THE Aptera it is also equipped with a battery that provides up to 1,600 kilometers of range, much more than the 370 kilometers of the Tesla Model S.

However, the vehicle still faces some obstacles. This is the case with your design: according to the creators, whether consumers will want to buy a car that looks like “a mixture of a Batmobile with a beetle” is still unknown.

Despite this, the company announced that, in the last two months, it has received about 7,000 reservations, in addition to having closed a financing agreement in the amount of four million dollars (about 3.3 million euros).
