There is no need to link this messaging app with the phone number. All you have to do is e-mail and you can use this app. Also the messaging app can be used on more than one device. WhatsApp does not have the same opportunity.
WhatsApp also has features like Broadcast Messages, Groups, Image Sharing, Video, Emoji.
