Unlike previous years, March 8, 2021 will necessarily have to be celebrated at home. In order not to let the date go by, Casual consulted the sommeliers Cibele Siqueira and Paula Daidone, from the wines Wine, who suggested 5 labels to be opened in the International Women’s Day. Among sparkling wines, whites and rosés, the specialists cured light and versatile wines, with harmonization of dishes, since the celebration is in full Monday. Prices range from 37.90 reais to 83.90 reais. check out:
Dancing Flame Ojos del Salado
Ancient legend tells of a night when the sky above Chile’s narrow valleys was suddenly lit with flames, caused by a huge volcanic explosion that brought beneficial minerals and soils to enrich the place – a great legacy that they enjoy through the excellent terroir of their valleys, echoed in every bottle of Dancing Flame. A refreshing rosé with good acidity, this Chilean label is on the list of vegan wines. Perfect to accompany a salad, grilled shrimp, chicken and chopped steak.
Espumante Partridge Stars Brut
Delicate, but with a presence in the mouth, fresh, fruity and with a discreet touch of bread, this sparkling wine has a good history. The inspiration for the name came from the famous phrase attributed to the Frenchman Dom Pérignon who, when drinking a champagne for the first time, would have said “I am drinking stars!”. The stars are an analogy to the small bubbles of gas that the sparkling gives off, as if it were the vision of a starry sky in our glass. The label harmonizes with sesame crusted tuna, guacamole with salad, lemon spaghetti, heart of palm pie and fresh cheeses.
Frizzante Pedro Teixeira
Pedro Teixeira Branco Frisante is a light and fresh wine, ideal to be consumed on hot days as an aperitif or with a plate of cold cuts, fried fish, coxinha, palm heart quiche and cheese pastry. Classified as a Dry Medium / Demi-Sec, this label has the scent of citrus fruits and white flowers. Just launched in the portfolio of Wine, this sparkler has already entered the list of favorites of many consumers.
Impetus DO Central Valley
Ideal to be enjoyed alone or to accompany light dishes, this white wine is made in the Chilean Valle Central. The name Impetu means impulse and symbolizes the strength, energy and passion of the region’s indigenous ancestors. Fried sardines, codfish balls, salmon sashimi, ceviche, spaghetti with white sauce and grilled vegetables go very well with it.
Portuguese sparkling wine JP Extra Brut
Fruits such as pear and apple, floral notes and delicate trace of yeast, are the aromas of this sparkling wine elaborated with the traditional method but which brings a modern style, expressed in the light, fruity palate, with good acidity and persistence. Signed by the renowned winery Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal, this label, which is a launch, originates from Bairrada, one of the first Portuguese regions to produce sparkling wines. Pairs with cheeses and cold cuts.
