Portugal closed the weekend with about 105 thousand individuals vaccinated against covid-19, of which 81 thousand are teenagers between 12 and 17 years old.
Almost 29 thousand people went, until 18:00 this Sunday, vaccinated against covid-19, including about 21,000 teenagers between 12 and 17 years old, informed Lusa the coordination of the vaccination operation. At the Saturday, until 18:30, more than 76 thousand people, of which more than 60 thousand young people between 12 and 17 years old. The weekend closes, like this, with about 105 thousand inoculated individuals.
The coordination of the national vaccination operation against covid-19 announced on Friday that from this day on people could be vaccinated in any center of vaccination in mainland Portugal as long as they obtain a digital password for the “Open House” modality — unmarked for autoagendamento.
It also became possible choose the vaccination center to take the second dose of the vaccine, but this option has to be made on the day the first dose is received.
According to the latest vaccination report from the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), Portugal has 72% of the resident population with the complete vaccination schedule and 80% with at least one dose of the vaccine.
