the minister Alexandre de Moraes, do Supreme Federal Court (STF), extended the investigation that investigates violations of the use of electronic anklet that would have been committed by the federal deputy Daniel Silveira (PSL-RJ). The decision was confirmed by the STF on Thursday night, 9. In the dispatch, Moraes extends the investigation period for 60 days, counting from the previous deadline, on August 11th. In the decision, Moraes also determined that the Secretary of Penitentiary Administration of Rio de Janeiro send equipment identical to the one used by the deputy to the technical-scientific sector of the Regional Superintendence of the Federal Police, and the referral must take place within 48 hours. The minister classified the delivery of the equipment as important for the “elucidation of the investigated facts, notably with regard to the success of the expertise of the equipment used by the parliamentarian”.
